Seven speakers competed in the Rotary Area Public Speaking final back in August at the Inverell RSM Club. Most competitors spoke on rural health and mental health issues. The impromptu topic was ‘What makes you happy?’
Inverell East Representative, Jasmine Purves, was the winner on the day and progressed to the next step. This took place mid-October via Zoom. Jasmine was one of seven area competitors and managed to win one of four spots in the final.
The final will be held at Rotary District 9660 Showcase November 25.
