I was fortunate enough to attend the only full NYSF session at the University of Queensland, where we stayed at Emmanuel College. During the ten days we attended lab visits, lectures, workshops and activities which all deepened my interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) field and sparked great curiosity and inspiration for the future.

I was a part of the Blackburn interest group which focused on health and medical science, which all of our lab visits were based on. A highlight of the trip was during the lab visits where we were provided the opportunity to speak with PHD students about all their projects which was ever so eye opening.

Thank you, Rotary, for providing me with this extraordinary experience. I am so grateful for the lifelong friendships created, the inspiring lectures, the memories made and the expanded interest in STEM as well as the increased desire and motivation to enter the STEM field.
