National Youth Science Forum (NYSF)

Shortly after Honeywell Engineering, we also had four students attend the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) all from Inverell High School Annalisa Collins, Haydan Huynh, Jasmine Purves and Bailey Robinson-Kam. In order to be selected for NYSF, the students had to attend a multi-stage interview in Tamworth after submitting their applications where they had to present their school reports, they were asked about their commitment to their schooling, their interest in science and engineering, community participation and had to bring and explain a scientific apparatus to the interview panel members. This year, NYSF was back to being all in person following the online and face-to-face versions since the pandemic. The students attended NYSF from 10th – 24th January in various locations including Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra. All four of the students attended a rotary meeting on 12th March where they delivered an engaging presentation on their experiences. We congratulate the students on their selection and participation into this programme.
