In October each year the Inverell East Rotary Club host a Duck Race on the Macintyre River as part of the Sapphire City Festival celebrations.
The public purchase tickets with a duck number of them in the weeks leading up to the race and on the day the first three ducks across the line are the winners.
This event is a fundraising event for the benefit of Rotary’s many local community support initiatives.
