Community Service Report 2016-17
This year continues to see the Rotary Club of Inverell East heavily involved in projects to assist the Community and Schools of the area.
The major project for this year has continued to be the May Street park. This project was started in 2011 and continues to develop with the support of Inverell Shire Council through Anthony Alliston. The area is grassing over and with regular mowing is appealing to many locals looking to take time out and enjoy the view.
Major events include Inverell’s Got Talent, The River Run, The Copeton Freshwater Swim and the Duck race have involved many members over long periods of time. Events such as Inverell’s Got Talent, The River Run and Copeton Swim provide an opportunity for members of the public to perform and develop their skills. They also help raise funds that are used to support numerous people and bodies.
The Chip Van continues to involve many members and supports community functions throughout the year.
