•  The  ‘Inverell’s Got Talent’ show for 2018 has been completed
• YES!  INVERELL’S GOT TALENT.
• Last Friday at the Town Hall an enthusiastic crowd turned out to see what talent Inverell had to offer and they were not disappointed.  M.C. Peter Caddey did his usual relaxed and efficient job and started with the junior entries.  Charly Thorpe was terrific with “The Man from Snowy River” and many thought she could win. Competition was fierce, and an honourable mention went to Clare Selig for “Let’s Go Fly A Kite”, second place to Bri Walker for her lovely rendition of “Hallelujah” and the winner of the Junior section was Olivia Dight who sang about the drought with “Dust” and accompanied herself on the keyboard.
• A highlight of the evening was the Guest Appearance of Ashleigh Campbell who won the Junior Section of ‘Inverell’s Got Talent’ in 2012 and went on to win the senior Section in 2015. Ashley is in her final year of a Music Degree majoring in Musical Theatre in Sydney. She delighted the audience with three songs before the Interval. In 2019, Ashleigh will be auditioning for major roles in Musicals and it won’t be long before we see her name in lights at Sydney Theatres.
• After a delicious supper provided by the Inverell East Rotary ladies the open section started. Jordie Cox won an Encouragement Award for her original composition, “Father and Daughter”.   The top 5 winners who each received $200 were Mikaela Bennion , who was brilliant with “History of Wrong Guys” from Kinky Boots; Harry Frazier who wowed the audience with spectacular piano playing;  Tomisin Deji-Ojo  who brought the house down with “Natural Woman”; Delysse  Walsh who looked terrific in her Scottish costume and performed a Scottish Dance and Kathryn Luxford who did her own interpretation of the Beatle’s song, “I Saw Her Standing There.”
• The winner of 2018 Inverell’s Got Talent collecting another $800 was the talented pianist Harry Frazier.
• While the Judge was deliberating, the Audience was further entertained by M.C. Peter Caddey and Chris Richter followed by a Duet by Jasmine Richter and Ashley Campbell.
•  President of Inverell East Rotary, Tim Newberry thanked the audience for their support and thanked Rotarians who had worked so hard to make the night a wonderful success. He also thanked Peter Caddey, Chris, Sharon & Jasmine Richter and Allan East for their invaluable assistance in producing a most entertaining night.
•  Chief judge, Bill Forrest from Tamworth congratulated the performers and told them that there were no losers. They were all winners and should keep following their musical dreams in the future.
